Who we are

Paradise Wild Wave Rentals rents boats, pontoons, jet skis and off-road vehicles from 1685 Industrial Blvd, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. What we collect

When you book online

• Your name, email address and mobile phone number.
• How many people are in your group, and anything you choose to tell us in the notes field.
• What you're renting (the rental, dates, start time, quantity and any add-ons) and the price.

Payment cards: you enter card details on our booking system's secure payment page, run by Checkfront and its payment processor. This website never receives or stores your card number.

When you use “Your bookings”

To show you your bookings we check your email address against your booking number, or send you a one-time sign-in link. Once you're signed in, a cookie keeps you signed in on that device (see Cookies).

When you browse

• Our hosting provider records standard technical information for each request (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to run and protect the site.
• The date you pick for checking availability is remembered in your browser for that tab only, and cleared when you close it.
• With Google Analytics we measure how the site is used (see Analytics).

When you call, email or visit

Whatever you tell us so we can help, for example to make or change a booking by phone.

At check-in

Someone in your group signs our rental contract at the office. [Confirm: what the rental contract collects (e.g. driver's licence or ID details, date of birth, emergency contact) and how long paper or digital contracts are kept]

How we use it

• To take, confirm, change and cancel your booking, and to send you booking emails (confirmations, receipts and important changes).
• To contact you about your rental, for example if weather or lake conditions affect it.
• To take payment and issue refunds, and to keep the records tax and accounting law requires.
• To keep the site and bookings secure and prevent fraud or misuse.
• To understand, in aggregate, how people use the site so we can improve it.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don't send marketing email from this website.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run your booking and this website, and only for those purposes:

• Checkfront, our booking and payment system. Your booking details and payment are processed by Checkfront and its payment processor. See Checkfront's privacy policy.
• Vercel hosts this website and its server logs. See Vercel's privacy policy.
• Google provides Google Analytics, for usage statistics. See Google's privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case this policy continues to apply to it).

Cookies and similar storage

When you pay, you're on Checkfront's payment page, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block the sign-in cookie, “Your bookings” won't keep you signed in.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and which buttons are used (for example “Book” or “Call”), in aggregate. It uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as we need them to provide your rental and deal with any questions or claims about it, and for as long as tax and accounting law requires. [Confirm: a retention period for booking and customer records, e.g. 7 years] Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

How we protect it

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our booking system is limited to the staff who need it, and card payments are handled by our booking system's payment processor rather than stored by us. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to records we must keep by law, such as payment records). To make a request, call us at (928) 854-4214, email info@wildwaverentals.com, or write to Paradise Wild Wave Rentals, 1685 Industrial Blvd, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. We'll need to confirm it's you, usually by matching your booking number and the email or phone number on the booking.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you further rights, such as knowing what categories of information we collect and why, and not being treated differently for using your rights. We'll respond to requests as those laws require.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information online. Bookings must be made by an adult. [Confirm: minimum age to book and to operate each type of rental]

Other websites

This site links to others, such as review sites, maps and social media. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. See also our Terms of Service.
